LEE WILKOF “The Usher”Lee Wilkof has appeared in the Broadway productions of THE ODD COUPLE; DEMOCRACY; THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE; KISS ME KATE; SHE LOVES ME; THE FRONT PAGE and SWEET CHARITY. OFF-BROADWAY he appeared in the original productions of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and ASSASSINS. His work OFF- BROADWAY has also included work at Lincoln Center Theater (CHAUCER IN ROME0 by John Guare), Manhattan Theater Club (MIZLANSKY/ZILINSKY OR SCHMUCKS, by John Robin Baitz), Playwrights Horizons, CSC (THE UNDERPANTS by Steve Martin), JUNE MOON, WAITING FOR LEFTY among others. Regionally he has appeared at Yale Rep, Baltimore Center Stage, and the Williamstown Theater Festival for 5 seasons. He recently appeared as The Wizard of Oz in both the National Tour and San Francisco companies of WICKED. On television he has appeared in over 100 episodes and movies of the week including LAW AND ORDER; THE WEST WING; ALLY MCBEAL; MAX HEADROOM; CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM; AN EARLY FROST; PRISONER WITHOUT A NAME, CELL WITHOUT A NUMBER; COP ROCK; HART TO HART; THE TONIGHT SHOW and THE GONG SHOW. His film appearances include THE GREY ZONE; SCHOOL OF ROCK; THIS BOY’S LIFE; PRIVATE PARTS; THE ENTITY XANADU; BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU’RE DEAD; LOVE COMES LATELY; AFTERSCHOOL and ROUTE 30. Lee is the recipient of an OBIE and a SAG award. He has received a TONY and three DRAMA DESK AWARD nominations. He lives in Connecticut with his wife Connie Grappo who is on the faculty at Yale University. Their daughter Perrie attends Hampshire College. |
